If you are in New York City, Animal Care and Control's Safety Net Program offers free and low-cost training, vet care, boarding, supplies, and landlord/tenant advice to help people keep their pets. They can be reached by phone at (917) 468-2938. Not in New York City? Check with your local shelters. They may offer similar programs. And if you have a legal issue preventing you from keeping your bull terrier, see if any of the resources at the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals site can assist.
Is there a bull terrier in an area shelter that you'd like us to help? Send us whatever information you can, including the shelter name, address and/or phone number; a shelter contact; the name and ID number of the dog; an internet link to the shelter; and any other pertinent details.
Do you need behavior, health or training assistance and/or referrals? Contact us. Be sure to check our Links and Resources page too.
Do you wish to volunteer or foster? Send us an email telling us a little bit about yourself, your animal experience and other pets in the household, if any.
We also need gift cards from major box stores (PetCo, PetSmart, Target, Wal-Mart, etc.) to help us supply food and supplies to our foster homes and gas cards to help defray the costs of transportation. Donations of large or extra large sized crates are always appreciated as well.
